Practical Info

Lisa & Jonas

29 May to 5 June 2027

Village Tago · Khulo · Adjara · Georgia

We know, the practical stuff isn't the fun part. But we really want you to arrive relaxed and feel at home from the very first evening, so here's everything you need.

And if anything is unclear, just message us. We'd much rather answer ten questions than have you worry about one.

The flights

We've planned everything around these two flights, so if you can, book these ones.

Getting here

On our flight? Then there's nothing to organise

Coming another way? Then you get yourself here

The week, in short

Arriving
Sunday 30 May in the evening, after a night at Karma Hostel.
Leaving
Saturday 5 June. Minibuses around 07:30.
In between
Lots of time together. We're still putting the schedule together with all of you, and we'll share it closer to the wedding. What's already coming: the wedding, two dinners, and whatever friends and family bring, like yoga, kintsugi, a barbecue, a Bengali evening and music.

Want to know more, or add something yourself? Have a look at the week page.

Nothing is compulsory. A day of doing nothing at all is a good day too.

What to pack

It's the end of May and we're 1,200 m up. It's the greenest time of the year, with daisies everywhere and snow still on the peaks. The days are warm, the nights are cold, and the weather changes its mind quite a lot.

Careful with some medicines. Georgia is very strict about medicines that count as narcotic or psychotropic, even when your own doctor prescribed them. That includes ADHD medication like Ritalin (Rilatine in Belgium) or Concerta (methylphenidate), strong painkillers like tramadol or codeine, Xanax (alprazolam), Lyrica (pregabalin), and even some cough and cold medicines with codeine or pseudoephedrine in them.

You can only bring these with an English copy of your prescription and your doctor's papers, officially certified in your own country, for a maximum of 31 days, and you have to declare them at customs. Without the right papers it's a criminal offence there, and people have ended up in real trouble over it.

So if you take anything like this, please have a look at the official list from Georgian customs (or the full law), talk to your doctor well in advance, and send us a message. We'll help you figure it out.

Where you'll sleep

Most of you will sleep in a Lotus Belle tent. They're round canvas tents on a wooden deck, with a real double bed, proper linen, a wood stove, heating and your own view of the valley, the mountains or the forest. Two people per tent.

The Half Dome is where most of the younger crowd will sleep. It's our dormitory for up to nine people. Everyone gets their own little cabin with a single bed and a curtain, and the top floor has a glass roof, so you fall asleep under the stars.

There's no bathroom inside the tents or the dome. The shared bathrooms with hot showers and toilets are just a few steps away, and you can borrow a hair dryer at reception.

We'll let you know where you're sleeping before you arrive.

Food

Three meals a day, all week, all included. Our kitchen is vegetarian, and it's so good that most people don't even notice. If you're missing meat, it shows up at Dave and Cindy's barbecue evening.

Allergies, vegan, gluten-free? Please tell us beforehand. The easiest is to put it in your RSVP. We're a long way from a supermarket, so we shop for the whole week in advance.

Good to know

Wi-Fi
We have Starlink, fast enough for video calls. It works better than you'd expect on a mountain.
Phone
Magti has the best signal up here. A Georgian eSIM is cheap and takes two minutes to set up.
Money
Georgian lari (GEL). Cards work at the camp, but bring a bit of cash for the village. There are banks in Khulo.
Electricity
European plugs, same as in Belgium.
Children
Very welcome! Just keep an eye on them at all times, because there's fire, water and steep ground around.
Dogs
Biba and Boba live here, and they're super friendly. Let us know if that's a problem for you.
Nights
Music outside until midnight. After that it moves into the yurt, so the tents can sleep.
Health
The nearest hospital is in Khulo. It's smart to have travel insurance that also covers the mountains.
Weather
Late May into June is the best time of year here: bright green grass, meadows full of daisies, blossom on the trees. Mountain weather changes fast, though, so there's always a plan B under the tent.
Language
English, Dutch and Georgian are all spoken here. You'll be fine.

If you'd like to give us something

First things first: while you're with us, you don't need to think about money at all. Your bed, all your meals and the minibuses to and from the airport are on us.

So please never feel you have to give anything. You being there really is the biggest gift.

But we know some of you will ask what we'd love as a wedding gift. Honestly? A contribution to the week itself. Glamping Tago is our own place, and that's the only reason a week like this is possible. It does mean we cover the tents, the food, the drivers and the team for seven days, for all of you. Helping with that is the most meaningful gift you could give us, because it goes straight into what we care about most: time together.

So if you'd like to give something, this is the account. Any amount is lovely, big or small. And if not, please just come. We really mean that.
